CHICKEN - 600 GRAMS
(A) Onion-Tomato Paste:

METHOD:
STEP 1 : "ONION TOMATO PASTE"
- in a pan, add 4 tbsp OIL
- add 3/4 BAY LEAF
- add 5/6 chopped onions
- and cook until translucent/light brown in colour
- add GINGER GARLIC PASTE
- saute for 2/3 mins or until the raw smell goes away
- add 1 tsp TURMERIC powder
- add 4/5 chopped TOMATOES
- COOK FOR 4/5 MINS OR cook until mushy/soft
- cool down the mixture
- separate the bay leaf from the onion tomato paste
- grind the onion tomato mixture into fine paste
STEP 2 : MASALA PASTE
In a mixer, grind

and make a paste of the above mentioned masala
FINAL STEP:
- in a cooker, add ONION-TOMATO PASTE
- add 1/2 WATER
- add MASALA PASTE
- cook for 4/5 mins
- add 1 and 1/2 cup WATER
- add water according to your desired consistency
- add SALT
- bring it to a boil
- add CHICKEN (cleaned & washed)
- mix well
- close the cooker lid and cook until 1 whistle
- after 1 whistle, off the flame and let it rest for 7/8 mins before opening the lid
- open the lid after 7/8 mins
- garnish with fresh coriander
