COCONUT & CURRY LEAVES CHUTNEY - by AroundTheKitchen
INGREDIENTS
- COCONUT - 1 cup
- GREEN CHILLI - 2
- GARLIC - 3
- GINGER - 1/2
- CURRY LEAVES - 12/14
- RED CHILLI - 2
- SALT - 1 tsp
- SUGAR - 1 tsp
- MUSTARD SEEDS - 1 tsp
- SPLIT BLACK GRAM/URAD DAL - 1 tsp
METHOD:
- in a mixer, add COCONUT
- add 2 GREEN CHILLI or more according to your taste
- add 3 GARLIC
- add 1/2 GINGER
- add 1 tsp SALT
- add 12/14 CURRY LEAVES
- add 1/2 tsp SUGAR
- GRIND UNTIL COMBINED WELL TOGETHER
FOR TEMPERING:
- heat 1 tbsp OIL
- add 1 tsp MUSTARD SEEDS
- let it splutter
- add 3 GARLIC
- let it turn into light golden brown colour
- add 2 RED CHILLI
- add URAD DAL
- add CURRY LEAVES
- stir and let it fry
- add hot over the chutney
- CHUTNEY IS READY TO SERVE
