Ingredients: split chickpeas/ channa dal - 1 cup (soaked for 1/2 hour OR for soak 1 to 2 hours) Green chilli - 1 (Add green chilli as per your taste) Curry leaves - 8 to 10 Ginger - 1 tsp finely chopped Asafoetida powder/ hing - 1/4 th tsp Coconut - 2 tbsp diced fresh Salt to taste Oil for deep frying Optional ingredients: 1 onion- finely chopped 1/4 cup coriander leaves- finely chopped. METHOD: In a Mixer grind : Soaked Channa Dal (keep aside 1/4th part for later use), Ginger, Green chilli, Curry Leaves, Hing, Salt, and Coconut, make a coarse paste in the mixer Now add the remaining 1/4th channa dal to the mixer and again grind coarsely, DO NOT GRIND IT INTO A FINE PASTE, Remove the coarsely grind paste into a bowl, add diced coconut and mix well, Here you can also add
