Gajar ka halwa -  गाजर का हलवा


INGREDIENTS:

  1. CARROTS (grated) - 3 cups
  2. GHEE - 2 TBSP
  3. SUGAR & CARDAMOM POWDER - 5 TBSP
  4. WATER - 2 TBSP



METHOD:
  • In a pan, heat 1 tbsp of ghee,
  • once the ghee is melted, add grated carrots,
  • cook for 4/5 mins on low-medium flame until the raw smell from carrots go away,
  • after 4/5 mins, add 2 tbsp of water or milk & sugar and cardamom powder,
  • mix everything well together
  • cover with a lid and cook for another 3/4 mins,
  • after 3/4 mins, add 1 tbsp of ghee and mix well
  • now cook the halwa until the mixture turns a little dry,
  • once the mixture looks dry, switch off the flame and garnish it with dry fruits of your choice,
  • GAJAR KA HALWA IS READY TO SERVE!!
