Sweet Potato Kachori - शकरकंद कचोरी






INGREDIENTS:
  1. Sweet Potato / शकरकंद - 2
  2. Desiccated Coconut - 1 cup
  3. Cashew / काजू  - 10/12
  4. Raisin / किशमिश 
  5. Sesame / टिल - 4 tbsp
  6. Poppy seeds / खसखस - 4 tbsp  
  7. Sugar / चीनी - 1 cup
  8. Salt / नमक 
  9. Corn flour/Arrowroot powder / अरारोट पाउडर   
  10. Water / पानी 
  11. Milk / दूध 
 





METHOD:
  1. Steam the sweet potato until fully cooked and soft,
  2. after the sweet potato is fully cooked, let it cool down,
  3. once the sweet potato is cooled down, grate the sweet potato
  4. now add salt and arrowroot powder
  5. mix well and add little water to form dough 
  6. after it is well combined and formed into dough like texture keep it aside,
  7. For the Filling, dry roast Cashews, Sesame seeds and poppy seeds
  8. in another pan, add 1 tsp ghee
  9. after the ghee is melted, add desiccated coconut and roast it for 1 min
  10. after the coconut is well roasted, add roasted sesame seeds, poppy seeds, cashews and raisins,
  11. now add sugar and mix well until the sugar is dissolved and well combined,
  12. once, the sugar gets combined, switch off the flame and keep it aside to cool down,
  13. Now, after the mixture is completely cooled, make small balls out of the sweet potato dough
  14. make a cavity and fill in the mixture of the filling,
  15. cover well, not not leave gaps in the ball
  16. coat the ball with arrowroot powder, dust of the excess
  17. heat oil in a pan to deep fry,
  18. once the oil is hot enough, deep fry the balls until golden brown in colour
OUR SWEET POTATO KACHORI IS READY TO SERVE WITH SOME SWEET CURD!!!
