EGGLESS ORANGE CAKE

Delicious and moist, flavoured with orange, this cake recipe is decadent and simple to make!


INGREDIENTS:

  1. MAIDA - 1 cup
  2. CORN FLOUR - 3 tbsp
  3. BROWN SUGAR - 1/2 cup
  4. SALT - a pinch
  5. BA;KING SODA - 1 tsp 
  6. BAKING POWDER - 1/2 tsp
  7. ORANGE JUICE - 1 & 1/2 cup
  8. OIL - 1/3rd cup
  9. VINEGAR - 1 tbsp
  10. VANILLA ESSENCE - 1/4th cup
  11. ORANGE ZEST - 1 tbsp
FOR ORANGE SYRUP :
  1. ORANGE SYRUP - 1 tbsp
  2. ORANGE ZEST - 1 tsp
  3. SUGAR - 3 tbsp


METHOD:
  1. In a bowl add all the dry ingresients; maida, corn flour, brown sugar, a pinch of salt, baking soda and baking powder,
  2. mix all the dry ingredients well together,
  3. now in another bowl, mix all the wet ingredients: orange juice, oil, vinegar, vanilla essence and orange zest,
  4. mix wet ingredients well together and then add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients,
  5. add the cake batter to a greased baking mould
  6. bake the cake for 25/30 mins at 180 degree,
  7. or you can also bake the cake in pressure cooker for 35/40 mins on medium to high flame,
  8. for orange syrup, mix orange juice, orange zest and sugar together and combine well,
  9. once the cake is baked, let it cool down,
  10. after the cake is completely cooled down, pour over the orange juice over the orange cake and let the cake soak the orange syrup.
  11. OUR ORANGE CAKE IS READY TO SERVE!!
